Our History

AN ARTISANAL FAMILY-RUN BUSINESS

From 1945, the bakery of 76, rue de Seine was the reference in the Saint-Germain des Prés district. In 1975, Mr. Mulot took over the business and expanded it to include bakery, pastry and catering items. The family clientele with a gourmet and elegant taste has always appreciated the demand for high quality, proximity, and tailor-made services, the three watchwords of the company, that the bakery has always striven to provide.

Chef Fabien Rouillard

In 2016, Fabien Rouillard took the reins of "Maison Mulot" to extend this vision, his watchwords being tradition, creation, and seasonality. This, after a professional career with great names in Parisian gastronomy (Lucas Carton, Senderens era, then Fauchon), and inspired by his parents who ran a catering business.

While celebrating the bakery and pastry activity of the house, the entrepreneur and artisan-pastry chef from Lorraine breathed in a new breath of creative life with particular emphasis on savory pastries and take-out.

Café Mulot: A Place of Expression

In the end, today Café Mulot is for Fabien Rouillard a place where he expresses his cuisine, his taste for elegance and discretion. It is above all the perfect expression of both his deep roots in simplicity and authenticity, and of his total openness to creation, to fashion, to art. This dialogue between craftsmanship and art allows him to remain faithful to his values: Tradition and Modernity.
